Mike has lived in Chandler’s Ford all his life and joined Rothmans’ Chandler’s Ford office in 2017, where he is now a Senior Tax Manager. His career began in finance management, with roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Southampton City College, before he moved into practice as a tax adviser at a large firm of accountants. He subsequently held a senior personal tax role at another leading firm before joining Rothmans.

Mike advises both individual and corporate clients on a wide range of tax matters, supporting them with day to day compliance as well as complex planning work. He has extensive experience in personal tax, inheritance tax planning, and trusts, and regularly advises on succession planning, estate structuring, and the tax implications of family and business wealth. Mike frequently leads complex projects for a large and varied client portfolio, providing clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Outside of work, Mike is married with two children and is actively involved in local football through coaching and treasurer roles. He enjoys watching both of his boys play various sports and keeping fit himself.
